And Sheffield Wednesday man Barry Bannan – a social media regular – has posted hilarious footage of himself watching ITV’s This Morning having noticed a worrying disregard for kitchen safety.

Giving a tutorial of how to make a homemade McDonald’s Egg McMuffin, celebrity chef John Torode leaves a kitchen towel next to a bare flame before turning his attention back to breakfast.

In his thick Scottish drawl, Bannan is heard saying: “Big John just you watch that dishtowel in the back, mate!

Barry Bannan is a regular user of social media platform Instagram.

“Don’t worry about the eggs, son, just you watch the dishtowel behind you, man!

“Big John’s dishtowel’s going up, what you doing John?! John, look behind you mate!

“Here, John, you not smell that, stupid?!”

The video was posted to his Instagram account.
