Dejphon Chansiri's first words after BIG points deduction news for Sheffield Wednesday

It was a big night for the Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday evening as it was confirmed that their 12-point deduction had been halved to just six points after the club appeal the original punishment for breaching Profitability and Sustainability rules.

Speaking for the first time since announcing the appointment of Garry Monk for the Owls, Dejphon Chansiri is in conversation with the media this media on the back of that big boost to the club as they were moved into the positive points and substantially closer to climbing out of the relegation zone.

But despite the victory, Chansiri made it clear that he is still of the opinion that the club did nothing wrong and that he was hopeful that the club would not get a points deduction at all.

When asked if the decision last night was the end of the situation regarding their battle with the EFL, he said, “It’s clear that we were not meant to be deducted 12 points from the beginning… This caused damage to the club, and we’re looking into the details of the appeal decision to determine what step we should take for the club and our fans as a whole.

“If you ask me if it’s better than nothing, but I’m still disappointed because I expected we should not get any deduction because I think we didn’t do anything wrong.”

Meanwhile, on his future, Chansiri insisted that he’s not considering selling the club, and admitted that ‘while I don’t know the future’, he’s still trying to do his best for the football club.
