'David Bruce made no bones about it' - Sheffield Wednesday season ticket sales latest as optimism returns

Owls fans have been snapping up season tickets in record numbers

Sheffield Wednesday are hoping to smash their season ticket sales record by some distance this summer.

The new era under Arise Capital Partners has caught the imagination of Owls fans who have been quick off the mark to secure their seat for next season despite being back in League One.

A total of 10,000 season tickets were sold in the first 24 hours and that has now jumped to more than 17,000 in the few weeks that have passed.

Our very own Owls reporter, Alex Miller, understands that behind the scenes there has been talk about whether they can not only break the club’s record of 21,000 but absolutely smash it to pieces by possibly reaching 23,000.

In the latest episode of our All Wednesday podcast, Alex and fellow Wednesday reporter Liam Norcliffe discuss the season ticket sales in more depth, including fantastic initiatives by the supporters’ trust, and the early promotion odds for the League One title that have got everyone talking.
