Our writers give their first impressions on the new boss

And that’s a wrap..

That’s all from Darren Moore.. stay tuned for the latest reaction.

My message to the young players is that there is a pathway. I’ve always had that there, because I believe in giving youth a chance and an opportunity to improve, as well as the more experienced players. The two do work in terms of nurturing and developing that.

We’ve got some players on the treatment table which obviously doesn’t help things, our first port of call is to get their full fitness back.

They lend their support from there! What we focus on is what we have available and to get the squad prepped for a tough week. I came in today and we worked with the squad and to work with them.

DM on relegation scrap

I’m ultra-competitive. I have a belief within that you can do these things and that we can do these things.

I know there is work ahead. It’s not easy by any stretch. The hard work is ahead of us, but we have to start from somewhere, today can be that.

It’s the biggest challenge because it’s the net challenge. What’s gone is gone, it’s done. We have to try and build and progress. It’s a big challenge and it’s the next challenge.

DM on message to Donny fans

I hope my character as a man, I hope that in terms of the upset, it’s because of what we did at the football club. In terms of the heart and being a former player, I gave my full support and backing to the club. I worked extremely hard to see the club in the right direction.

I’m pleased with their appointment and I wish the club and players every ounce of success going forward. I hope in their hearts they understand.

DM on length of stay

I deal with the facts. Let’s look at it now, let’s not look at anything longer. We have a game on Wednesday night to look forward to, 14 games to approach one at a time. Anything else after that will take care of itself.

Of course I want to build a project. The record in terms of building teams and a structure at a football club, you join to make them better and that’s ultimately want I want to do here.

Some things are not done overnight, you have to start somewhere.

I thought he would go to Celtic because of the agent who talked to Celtic.

When he had a chance to play for the first team, he did quite well and we tried to keep him. We spoke for a long time and he asked to wait, we know this was to wait for another club.

My people tell me the fans criticise for not signing him. They didn’t talk in the summer.

The agent told us to wait and wait. We know why.

We had a lot of CVs and we looked outside abroad and in the UK, a good coach to fit to our situation.

We interviewed some and Darren is the best choice. He is ambitious and he has a good mentality. He is straightforward, we also had some laughing in the conversation!

Paul Warne and his teams are always tough opponents to play against. It’s a local derby. We know it’s a big game on Wednesday evening.
