Six players have so far come in, as well as the club’s new intake of youth players, and those who departed have gone far and wide in search of new opportunities; to Italy, Cyprus and to England’s lower leagues.
But where have the bigger names of Wednesday’s summer exodus ended up? Let’s take a look..
5. Kieran Lee
A dagger through the heart of most Owls fans, Lee was a long-time servant of the club and is yet to have been given any official send-off from the club. The word has been 'never say never' when it comes to a return, but it seems highly unlikely. Extended his deal to finish off the season and is still without a club. Photo: Dan Mullan
6. Sam Hutchinson
A Sheffield Wednesday stalwart for several years and a real fan favourite, Hutchinson was fleetingly linked with a handful of Championship clubs before a shock announcement saw him sign for Pafos FC in Cyprus, where he could face off against one of his former teammates this season... 7. Fraser Preston
Another long-time youth prospect at Hillsborough, wide man Preston, 21, has signed for sixth-tier Boston United. He has played in pre-season friendlies and played well in a 3-3 draw with Halifax last week. Photo: JP
8. Steven Fletcher
Wednesday's top scorer last season, Fletcher turned down a new deal with the Owls to try his hand at the free agent market. Links with both Glasgow clubs came and went before he too ended up at Stoke. Photo: Steve Ellis
