Over a thousand traveled to Luton Town on a cold Wednesday night to watch their side and again they were let down, with the Owls losing 1-0 to the bottom-of-the-table Hatters.

And afterwards the supporters who made the long journey made their views heard.

As the players trooped off the pitch, angry supporters chanted ‘you’re not fit to wear the shirt’ followed by a barrage of expletives with their patience finally pushed to its limits.

Wednesday have won just once in 2020 in the league and indeed lost all three of their games over the Christmas period.

Garry Monk’s side are 12th in the table – nine points outside of the play off places.

At Kenilworth Road they conceded a penalty after just 19 seconds but received a let off when James Collins crashed his spot kick off the bar.

However, Collins would make up for that later, latching onto a mistake by Dominic Iorfa to score what would be the winner, with Wednesday never really looking like scoring all night.
