The Owls haven’t scored in their last three league games at home and the dour draw threw up few highlights, other than an encouraging debut for on-loan Dutchman Alessio Da Cruz.

Speaking after the game, Garry Monk described the goalless draw as a ‘fair result’ – but what did Wednesday fans make of the game?

Here’s what some supporters have had to say on Twitter.

@thorney811 Monk took a very cautious approach to the game today. I dare say it was one he daren’t lose so set up to not concede. Slightly better second half and another clean sheet. Iorfa my MOM.

@dan_N_smith We keep playing like we did today we’ll be in a relegation scrap, regardless of a potential points deduction.

@adam_scott7 Tough times being a Wednesday fan at the minute. Been to Hillsborough today for the first time in a while and that was woeful. No desire, no urgency, very little quality and manager is happy with a clean sheet at home against Millwall. Mid-table finish I’m afraid.

@RobShirley6561 Thought we were better of the two sides overall but didn't do enough to win it. And just when you think the standard of refereeing can't get any worse... David Coote says "hold my beer"

@RocketOwl1986 Now we have Wickham and Windass and FF back Monk no longer has any excuses to play dire drab football that is turning us fans away and boring us. From next week onwards let’s see how he does with some good attacking options

@MattSummerhill A bit of a war of attrition for #swfc today. Thought we were very much second best in the first half but improved second half particularly when FF and Da Cruz came on. Clean sheet was vital for the rebuild. Iorfa a clear MOM. Another Championship masterclass of refereeing today, woeful

@TomTB1995 Thought Da Cruz looked decent when he came on, hungry for the ball, looks like something we've lacked. Forestieri looked sharper than I'd have expected given how long he's been out. Good to see him back.
