The Owls did more than enough to take the win and despite a couple of hairy moments late on, were fully deserving of the win, which takes them to within four points of parity at the bottom of the table.

A bold tactical call from Monk proved to be a thing of excellence, but it was one that relied on Luongo's intelligence and athleticism. The Aussie fell in and out of the back line depending on Wednesday's position on the pitch, acted as a possession hub and did what he does - breaking up play with class. Top drawer yet again.
