As ever, we’ve rounded up the winners and losers from another action-packed few days in the second-tier.
Scroll and click through the pages to see which teams, managers and players shone and struggled during the latest round of fixtures:
5. L: Preston North End
Despite a strong showing in the 1-0 defeat at Brentford, Preston’s play-off chances have been written off by many - but not boss Alex Neil. “Would I say it is unlikely it will happen? Yes, I probably would. But stranger things have happened and we have to keep going for these final two games.” Photo: Alex Livesey
6. W: West Brom
While it wasn’t the three points Slaven Bilic had hoped for against Fulham, the 0-0 scoreline does ensure West Brom’s top two fate rests in their own hands - and former England striker Emile Heskey believes the Baggies will see it through as Brentford “have left it too late”. Photo: Ross Kinnaird
7. L: Kiko Casilla (Leeds United)
Casilla returned to Leeds’ matchday squad following an eight-match ban but BBC pundit Noel Whelan was delighted to see Illan Meslier retain his place. According to Whelan, the Spaniard is not good enough for the Premier League and there are “question marks about his ability”. Photo: Nigel Roddis
8. W: Cardiff City
Neil Harris’ side remained in 6th with a 2-1 win at home to Derby and according to former boss Neil Warnock, the Bluebirds will be desperate for Brentford to go up automatically - tipping his old club to overcome West Brom, Fulham and Nottingham Forest in the play-offs. Photo: Naomi Baker
