'We've got minus nine. Say we've got minus nine' - Sheffield Wednesday fans react to win over Cardiff City

Sheffield Wednesday supporters are on cloud nine this evening after their side began their Sky Bet Championship campaign with an impressive 2-0 win at Cardiff City.

All over and the Owls win 2-0 thanks to goals from Windass and Rhodes. A perfect start. Don’t go anywhere, Garry Monk reaction coming up.

Not long now…

Almost a third for the Owls!

Bannan and Kachunga play a lovely one-two and the striker gets a shot off but it is blocked by Morrison. Tom Lees has gone down feeling his calf.

Penney off, Liam Palmer on.

Harris’ cross from the right is met by the head of Kachunga but it is an easy save for Smithies. Wednesday are by no means just sitting back and defending here. They could get a third.

Sean Morrison’s flicked effort at goal is pushed away for a corner from Dawson. He then collects the corner. Good work. 0-2.

Elias Kachunga comes on for his debut, replacing Windass.

Adam Reach comes on for goalscorer Jordan Rhodes.
