Hello and welcome to The Star’s second live blog of the day as we speak to Callum Paterson.

Friday, 27th November 2020, 12:00 pm

The Owls take on Stoke City tomorrow and there is much to discuss with the Scotland international, who found himself at the centre of a social media storm at the weekend when he was ‘grabbed’ by Preston defender Darnell Fisher.

Follow our blog for the very latest updates as we speak live to the former Cardiff man.

  • Callum Paterson speaks to the media this afternoon
  • The Scot is expected to speak out on Darnell Fisher incident
  • Wednesday take on Stoke City tomorrow

I’m a people pleaser… If somebody wants me to play upfront, I’ll play up front. If they want me in goals, I’ll give 100%. I played upfront for Cardiff in the Premier League, I’ve played centre mid for Scotland. I’ll play anywhere.

I"m just happy to be on the park, and I’ll give me all and hopefully get some goals.

Speaking of Darnell Fisher…

I’m in the gym every day doing bicep curls! It’s something I enjoy doing, so I’m more than happy to do that. Hopefully we can pick up some goals and create some opportunities.

“It’s not for me to comment on - it’s being dealt with off the park. I’m moving on from that.”

Anyone that knows me knows I am one of the most patriotic guys ever.

It means a lot for everyone in our country and we’re happy to have made it.

We had a good night, we had a lot of pressure and to finally had that pressure eased was massive for us.

It’s been great to qualify with Scotland, a real achievement, and obviously the last gaffer moved on which was a disappointment for me, but we’re enjoying life with the new gaffer.

Callum Paterson is expected at around 2:15pm.
