'Broadly the same (losing) players and formation week after week' - Sheffield Wednesday fans' verdict on team to play Coventry City

The big news comes in goal where Keiren Westwood replaces Joe Wildsmith after recovering from the groin injury he suffered in just his second game back of his high-profile return to the Owls first team at Swansea City last month.

Pulis has also recalled Liam Palmer and Callum Paterson, replacing the suspended Moses Odubajo and Joost van Aken – who picked up an injury in the 2-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest in midweek.

Wednesday go into the game without a win in nine, a dismal run which stretches back to early November when they beat high-flying AFC Bournemouth 1-0 at Hillsborough.

Here’s how Wednesdayites on Twitter have reacted to today’s team news.

@Hallows_99 Finally a keeper who can command his defence

@TomFarr5 Why is he persistent with Shaw but don't give Penney a go??

@Maff112 Why isn't Matt Penney been given a chance?

@_oswfc Actually not that bad. Still going to lose 2-0 though

@JohnHiley Broadly the same (losing) players and formation week after week. What’s the definition of insanity?

@tsanderson04 Give over with Paterson and Pelupessy. Rhodes and Brown in please and even Penney at fullback

@ashes2015 How do Pelupessy and Shaw get in ahead of Brown? We are desperate for creativity

@antsswfc23 Pulis blamed fatigue for the performance against Huddersfield, made hardly any changes for the Forest game... And made hardly any again today #headsgone

@DaveWoodward11 About as good as it gets at the minute. Personally, it’s the negative tactics killing us at the minute
