Goals from Sylla Sow, Mendez-Laing, Sam Hutchinson and Josh Windass gave the Owls the full three points as the Owls go within three points of today’s opponents in sixth place in the Championship.
There were strong performances all over the pitch, and Darren Moore will be delighted with the way that his troops performed on their first home game of 2022 – he’ll be hoping to build on it further.

5. Jack Hunt - 8
A really good showing from Hunt, who looked a real threat getting forward and caused plenty of problems down the right side for Plymouth.

6. Nathaniel Mendez-Laing - 9
Comfortably his best showing in his admittedly short Wednesday career so far. He was quick, strong, and a constant thorn in the left-hand side of Plymouth’s defence. Tremendous goal, too.

7. Massimo Luongo - 9
Showed exactly why he’s such a vital player for Wednesday. Imposed himself on the game with some big challenges, took chances in possession but was also very tidy with it. Great to have him back.

8. Barry Bannan - 8
Was very unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, with a couple of chances missed that would have been the icing on the cake of a strong performance from the skipper.
