'Big call putting Urhoghide in against Leeds' - Sheffield Wednesday fans react to team news for Yorkshire derby

However, former Leeds defender Tom Lees misses out through illness while winger Kadeem Harris is on the bench – the first time this season he has been left out of the starting 11 in the Championship.

Elsewhere, Wednesday manager Garry Monk – returning to one of his former clubs – has brought back Barry Bannan and Sam Winnall, replacing Joey Pelupessy and injured leading scorer Steven Fletcher respectively.

There is also a place among the substitutes for young winger, Ben Hughes.

Here’s what Wednesday fans have had to say about today’s team selection on Twitter.

@RussPhangan I can live with that! Shame no Lees

@ReganJay1 Harris on bench! Don’t get that one Monk

@PeterNaldrett Glad to see Urhoghide in again after his showing at Brighton. Winnall needs to make his mark.

@comeonWednesday Got to be the worse team we’ve had for a long time. Winnall wouldn’t get in a pub team, he’s useless.

@HerbertsGone We seriously need a centre forward.

@L0RD_H I hope I’m wrong but this team does have a little whiff of the Jos about it.

@jack231997 Think I would have rather started Pelupessy over Lee, but it’s gonna be a Luongo masterclass anyway #swfc

@YesWeCrann Big call from Monk to put 19-year-old Urhoghide in against Leeds today, but he earned it his performance v Brighton…

Ben Hughes, also 19, on the bench for the first time too. Big one, this.

@Lee_Turt You just know there is a bullet header from Urhoghide today straight in the top corner. #swfc

@gambler_cursed Winnall’s sort of game today, gritty player for a gritty Yorkshire derby! Hopefully #lufc play nothing like they did 1st half on Monday #LEESW #swfc #swfclive #twitterwhites

@johnrocknrolla That line up. Hopefully Leeds won’t repay the 6-0. #swfc

@DutchMcLovin I hope I’m wrong but BIG mistake not playing Sam Hutchinson today @swfc. I would have even sacrificed Bannan to play him !! #swfc #UTO

@danfowler09 Murphy looked sharp against Brighton, I'd play him off Winnall with that pace #swfc
