The Scotsman had been a doubt after picking up a knock in the 1-1 draw with Reading at Hillsborough on Wednesday evening.

But Bannan has been declared fit to take his place in manager Tony Pulis’ starting line-up for the game against the league leaders at Carrow Road.

The Owls are also boosted by the return of Dominic Iorfa, while there are also starts for Josh Windass – who has completed a three-match ban after his sending-off at Preston North End – and Moses Odubajo.

Odubajo and Iorfa come in for suspended midfield duo Massimo Luongo and Liam Shaw, while Liam Palmer has also dropped out and has been named among the substitutes by Pulis – who will be looking for his win as Owls boss in Norfolk this afternoon.

Here’s how Wednesdayites on Twitter have reacted to today’s team news.
