Monk, whose side lost 1-0 at struggling Luton Town in midweek, has handed first-team recalls to Osaze Urhoghide, Joey Pelupessy, Kadeem Harris and Atdhe Nuhiu.

Club captain Tom Lees, midfield playmaker Barry Bannan and new recruits Connor Wickham and Josh Windass have dropped to the bench.

Left-back Morgan Fox (ankle) misses out for the fourth match running. Moses Odubajo (hamstring), Massimo Luongo (calf) and Adam Reach (toe) remain on the sidelines.

Wednesday head into today's encounter on the back of one victory from their last league nine matches. Their poor run of form since Christmas has seen them tumble from third to 12th, nine points adrift of the play-offs.

Owls: Dawson; Urhoghide, Iorfa, Borner, Palmer; Da Cruz, Pelupessy, Lee, Harris; Nuhiu, Forestieri. Substitutes: Wildsmith, Lees, Bannan, Murphy, Hunt, Windass, Wickham.
