That’s according to reports that suggest Blackburn Rovers have stepped up their interest in Crewe Alexandra left-back Harry Pickering.

Hide AdReports from Sky Sports had circulated this morning that Tony Mowbray’s side had had a bid accepted by Crewe and while their interest remains, this is now believed to be wide of the mark as per Lancs Live.
It has been suggested that Crewe’s £600,000 asking price is some way above Wednesday’s original bis for the 22-year-old, who has been a first team regular at Gresty Road for four seasons..
Left-back has long been a position the Owls have wanted to strengthen and it has been an area of the market they have targeted throughout this window.
The departure of Morgan Fox last season left Matt Penney as the only recognised senior left-back at the club. Penney played there in Wednesday evening’s defeat at Coventry while Moses Odubajo, Liam Palmer, Joost van Aken and rookie Ryan Galvin have dropped in this season.
