"Absolute shambles": Sheffield Wednesday fans react angrily to transfer-less deadline day

The Owls, who are second-bottom of the Championship but have picked up a head of steam in their recent form, hoped to add a striker and a left-back to their relegation-threatened squad but drew blanks at every turn.

Wednesdayites have reacted with concern to what can be considered a blow to their survival hopes, especially given the activity of their rivals.

@BradDelamore97 – I honestly don’t see how we can stay up.... we needed a striker. LB maybe not an issue but a striker was a must. Hopefully there is a plan for some free players
