With other results going as they did, Wednesday really needed to get back to winning ways at Hillsborough on Saturday afternoon, and in front of a big crowd at S6 they came flying out of the blocks from kick off.
They should have put the game to bed, really, and when Liam Palmer opened the scoring it looked like there would be only one winner - but Luke Cundle, sadly, had other ideas. For a while they were out of the bottom three, but instead they’ll end the weekend back in 22nd place.

9. Iké Ugbo - 7
Was so close to opening the scoring ealry on only to see his effort brilliantly saved, and he worked hard in attack for the Owls. Won plenty of fouls for Wednesday, andwork hard on his return to action.
10. Josh Windass - 7
There's been a lot asked of Windass in a short space of time since his injury, but he was a willing runner once again for the Owls and was a handful for Stoke on occasion.
11. Michael Smith - 7
Made an absolute nuisance of himself against Stoke, holding the ball up well and winning plenty in the air as Wednesday tried make their dominance count. Hit the crossbar with a good effort, and also saw a goal chalked off for a foul.
