It was the legendary Chris Waddle’s first season at S6 as he wooed the Hillsborough faithful with a string of dazzling performances as well as Wembley . . . not once, not twice but three times – including the memorable FA Cup semi-final win over bitter rivals United under the iconic twin towers.
So, we’ve decided to go on a trip down memory lane to take a look at the climax to that campaign 27 years ago.
