Young midfielder thanks Man Utd after signing for Sheffield United following 'trial' spell

New Sheffield United youngster Owen Hampson has thanked Manchester United for the past decade spent at Old Trafford after putting pen to paper on a deal at Bramall Lane.

The young midfielder, who played for the Blades’ U18s side last season on trial, has officially moved to South Yorkshire after his 10-year association with United’s namesakes from across the Pennines came to an end.

Alongside a photograph of himself at United’s Shirecliffe academy signing on, Hampson wrote on Instagram: Delighted to announce I have officially signed for Sheffield United

Last year, Hampson was called up to a Wales U17 training camp at the age of just 15. Comfortable on the ball, he will now join up with his new Blades academy teammates when they return for pre-season training ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
