April 13, 2014 and an FA Cup semi-final classic, which finished 5-3 to Hull – and resulted in a spontaneous round of applause from the Blades fans who were rightly proud of their side’s efforts under the Wembley arch.
It was the last time United reached the last-four stage ahead of this weekend’s semi-final back at the national stadium, against the mighty Manchester City. But what happened to United’s players from that day? Let’s have a look ...

9. Conor Coady
Coady made 50 appearances for United after being signed on loan by Wilder’s predecessor David Weir at the beginning of the 2013/14 League One campaign. He was later sold by Liverpool, joining Huddersfield Town before moving to Wolves. Later returned to Merseyside with Everton Photo: MARTYN HARRISON

10. Jose Baxter
The mercurial Baxter arrived at Bramall Lane from Oldham, but his time at United ended after he was twice banned for failing drugs tests. He was given a second chance by Everton after his second ban and was last seen back at his boyhood club as a coach Photo: MARTYN HARRISON

11. Stefan Scougall
Another man who scored for the Blades that day at Wembley, diminutive forward Scougall was popular with Blades fans. After leaving United, he moved to St Johnstone before returning to England with Carlisle. Now 30, he is now at Alloa in the Scottish Championship Photo: Jamie McDonald

12. Jamie Murphy
Another Scottish star in United's ranks, Murphy was transformed into a striker from a winger under Clough before moving to Brighton to further his hopes of winning a Scotland cap. Later moved to his boyhood club Rangers but suffered a bad knee injury and is now at St Johnstone Photo: Jamie McDonald
