'That winner would have caused absolute limbs inside the Lane' - Sheffield United fans react to dramatic win over Wolves

The Irish defender was the hero once again as he followed up his equaliser at Burnley on Sunday with a powerful headed goal from Ollie Norwood’s corner to help Chris Wilder’s side move to within one point of tonight’s opponents and just four behind Manchester United, who occupy fifth place.

And with just four games remaining of a highly impressive return to Premier League football after a 12-year absence, United fans can be forgiven for dreaming of watching their side take on some of Europe’s finest next season following tonight’s win.

Here’s what some Blades supporters are saying on Twitter after watching their side climb to seventh place in the top flight.

@Lewser__ Reyt good performance that. A couple of better decisions or passes near Wolves' box and could've won by two or three goals. Their strikers didn't get a look in, what a week for Egan too! Might need my passport soon after all #SUFC #twitterblades

@pjobuchanan What a perfect performance from them blades from start to finish 3 more points and over the 50 points mark and still pushing for champions league up the blades #sufc #twitterblades #PremierLeague

@Colin_CWilliams Its nailed on we’ll get in European Champions League the one year we fans cannot travel to matches. It’s the Blades way! #twitterblades #sufc

@The_Bladesman Ben Osborn is what people think Ngolo Kante is. #twitterblades #sufc

@tyronej1984 We couldn’t, could we? @EuropaLeague #twitterblades #SUFC

@IvantonyB Might throw myself down a staircase to create the limbs that would've happened on the Kop

@Colin_CWilliams Imagine the scenes if we’d been there. One real fan was there though #twitterblades #sufc

@daviesblades83 Get in Blades, outstanding win and result, brilliant all round team performance, richly deserved. Onto Saturday. Up the Mighty Blades.

@JasonHolyhead Berge looks like he's got great feet. Growing every game. I'm beginning to think Wilder knows what he's doing #sufc

@abi_wood1889 If I was on’t Kop then I’d 100 per cent be being carried out on a stretcher! Unreal result

@KingsleyWhybrow That winner would have caused absolute limbs inside the Lane. That is a massive goal and a well deserved win everyone worked their ass off for that win a proper Sheffield united win and the push for Europe continues #sufc #twitterblades

@kempym Berge just getting better and better, got the skills and has an engine. All round team display tonight fantastic againts a very good Wolves side. #sufc #twitterblades

@TuftyBall Wasn't Billy's day today, but The Moose worked really hard and fought for every ball, and Zivkovic was looking smart, too. A wealth of striking options for the boss to choose from on Saturday. Apart from that, obviously the whole back three had a good game, as did Osborn. Berge looked tidy as well, he's settling in well. Big result, average game, one point off sixth. Chelsea next, and that's a massive fixture all of a sudden. #SUFC #TwitterBlades

@BenSorsby Is there ANYTHING better than a last gasp winner?? GET IN THERE @JohnEgan92!
