Why snooker's UK Championship winner is buzzing about Sheffield United

The Sheffield-based star picked up the Betway UK Championship in York last week for the third time and his success is coming as his favourite football team are defying the odds in the top flight.
Ding is a patron of Sheffield United and has been following them since moving to South Yorkshire a few years ago from China.

“I’m fully supporting Sheffield United and watching them at every game – hopefully they can stay in the Premier League,” said the 32-year-old who is impressed by what the team have done while largely made up of the squad that won promotion from the Championship and some even from League One.
“It’s looking good this season, and hopefully they can finish well and bring in some better players next year.
“It’s a tough time for Sheffield United as they haven’t brought in a lot of players since last season, but the team works so well together.”
