With Sheffield United still uncertain on whether they'll be able to tempt Dean Henderson to spend another year at Bramall Lane, the Blades could well be on the hunt for a new goalkeeper in the summer, and have recently been linked with a move for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.

Here's all you need to know about the star stopper:

A bit of background:

He stands at 198cm tall, and is 23-years-old. He's been with his current club since boyhood, and made his big break into playing regular first team football last season.

Any international caps?

Yes, he earned his first senior cap for Turkey last May, and conceded a stoppage time consolation goal in a 2-1 win over Greece. He's also previously been capped in various age brackets at youth level.

Has he featured in European football before?

He featured in three Europa League group stage matches for his side earlier in the season - the highlight of which being a stirring performance in a narrow 1-0 loss to Spanish side Getafe.

Key strengths?

He's renowned for his reflex saves - there's a host of terribly soundtracked highlight reels on Youtube, if you’re interested - and his short-range passing game is very tidy indeed, with an accuracy rate averaging over 96% so far this season.

Any weaknesses?

His long passing isn’t the most accurate, and he’s managed to rack up five yellow cards this season; that’s quite a haul for a goalie.

Would he be a good signing for United?

The fact that the likes of Liverpool and Spurs are after him shows he's highly-rated, and his relatively tender years mean his best years are still ahead of him.

He would most likely be a backup for both those sides, and the allure of first-team (and perhaps even European) football at Bramall Lane could well tempt him into joining the Blades instead.
