"What a win"..."What a turnaround" - Sheffield United fans buoyant after win over Norwich City

The feeling at half time was one of frustration and a fair amount of dismay but by the time the match was over, Sheffield United fans were buzzing.

The Blades were 1-0 down at the break and coming off one of their worst performances in quite a while when things turned around quickly in the second half.

A header from Enda Stevens and a great striker from George Baldock had Chris Wilder’s side in front and it could have been more, with a goal chalked off (or a possible penalty) thanks to VAR and then Chris Basham had a red card overturned by the mysterious men in Stockley Park.

Here’s what United fans were saying on social media afterwards.

@ViewFromJohnSt said: “Whatever Chris Wilder said at halftime if you could bottle it it would be worth millions. Totally different team second half after poor first 45. And the Blades go marching on.”

@ryanmathews1893 posted: “YES BLADES!!! that's what I'm talking about what a start to the second half fight pressing and desire that win is huge for us and could prove vital come the end of the season don't underestimate us and Chris Wilder”

A relieved @GREGHampson wroted: “Glad that's over. Wow. Rollercoaster of emotions. Hate VAR and want it out. Then thankful for it to downgrade the red card. Amazing 3 points. Table looks nicer now. On to the next one. Up the blades

@middo_7 said: “Dont under estimate the importance of that win. Especially after an abysmal first half. Besic was brilliant. Definitely worth a start, possibly for a very tired looking Norwood.”

@JackMaleham7 backed up that view: “On another note, very impressed with Besic when he came on! Calmed things down, kept possession and put the necessary pressure on opposition. Think he’ll have a big role to play over Christmas”

And @mdb1980sufc was happy to take the points and run: “Big 3 points there!! Did we deserve them? Maybe not as it wasn’t our best performance but makes up a bit for the midweek defeat. Slightly better in the 2nd half and got back into it. I’ll take an ugly win away from home. Take your time.....”
