The Blades slipped to the bottom of the Premier League table after losing 1-0, with Patrick Bamford heading an 88th-minute winner to condemn United to their third defeat in their three games so far.

But Chris Wilder's men created the best opportunities against Marcelo Bielsa's men, and Leeds 'keeper Illan Meslier was in inspired form as he denied John Lundstram and George Baldock with stunning saves.

And Osborn, speaking ahead of Sunday's trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal, said: "We had the better chances - it was the best we've played this season.

"We just need a goal to go in and that'll change everything. It's just little things we've got to improve on but I think we'll be all right.

"We had a couple of chances that just needed tapping in, and forced some unbelievable saves. We were almost there but it's a cruel league and we got punished.

"But at times they couldn't live with us when we played some stuff, which is encouraging. We need to just get that end product nailed, and we'll be fine."

Osborn made his first league start of the season against Leeds, in place of John Fleck - who scored a late equaliser on United's last visit to the Emirates back in January.

"We'll look forward to going to Arsenal," Osborn added, "and build on what we did against them last season."
