United, bottom of the Premier League with just a point to their name, suffered a sickening blow in their formative batle for survival this season when Jamie Vardy scored a late winner for Leicester City, after Oli McBurnie cancelled out Ayoze Perez's earlier opener for the visitors.

Wilder admitted that he hasn't said anything to his players in the dressing room after their latest defeat, adding: "I've got the a*seache with people saying about fine lines and this that and the other.

"We're a losing team at the minute, whether cruel or deserved.

"If we make good decisions it's a good point against a side that's gone well recently and has a lot of good players.

"I thought we were better second half and getting back on level terms was good, and Oli was outstanding all afternoon. It was great for him.

"The game became stretched and if we kept our discupline, which we did, we believed something could happen at the other end.

"But there has to be a mindset deep into the game of 'it isn't going to be a win for us but it's going to be something'.

"But it wasn't."

Leicester earlier hit the post twice, through James Maddison and Vardy, before those two combined for the winning goal that broke Blades hearts.

John Fleck was robbed of possession in midfield, Maddison set Vardy free and the former England striker made no mistake in finishing past Aaron Ramsdale.
