Around 30,000 Blades fans converged on Wembley for the eagerly-anticipated clash with the Premier League giants, with one side of the national stadium a sea of red and white.

Each player’s name was met with a roar from the Blades fans, with playful boos meeting the announcement of City superstar Erling Haaland over the PA system.

United had a great early chance to go ahead too, but Iliman Ndiaye’s effort was saved by City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.
