Following a tussle for the ball, the ex-Luton Town and Stoke City loanee shoved Albania striker Rey Manaj to the floor, who subsequently fell into Edoardo Reja, leaving him far from impressed.

Norrington-Davies, who played 90 minutes in the stalemate on Saturday evening, was given a yellow card for the offence.

The 22-year-old earned his fifth cap for his country as Wales finished the last of their Euro 2020 warm-up matches before their opening fixture against Switzerland in Baku on 12 June.

Former Blades Ethan Ampadu and David Brooks also featured in the game, which saw Norrington-Davies deployed as a left-sided wing-back as part of a 3-5-2 formation.

Norrington-Davies has yet to make a senior appearance for Sheffield United but is highly regarded at the club, with former manager Chris Wilder viewing him as Jack O’Connell’s long-term successor.
