Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough admitted he felt frustrated after the Blades were forced to wait at least another few days before securing their play off place following a 1-1 draw with Bradford City at Bramall Lane.
United had looked comfortable for large periods of the game and led through Jason Holt - his fifth in seven games.
However, a speculative effort from Billy Clarke with seven minutes remaining grabbed a point for the Bantams who had done well to shake off any hangover from their thrashing by Bristol City in midweek.
“It’s frustrating, we were five minutes away from confirming our place (in the play offs) and now we have got to wait for Tuesday or Saturday,” said Clough.
The only team capable of stealing a place off United are Rochdale who today lost at Gillingham.
Keith Hill’s side face Leyton Orient on Tuesday night in their game in hand over the Blades. Should they fail to win, then United are sure of a top six place.
If Dale manage to pick up all three points, then Clough’s men will have to wait til the weekend when they, too, take on Orient.
