Billy Sharp has been in fine form for Sheffield United since rejoining from Leeds in the summer.
Six goals so far in League One provide proof that the boyhood Blade is one of the hottest frontmen in the division.
So what's the best way to prevent him scoring, or even setting up his team mates to find the net? Get the assistant referee to block him.
In a bizarre episode during Saturday's clash between the Blades and Rochdale, which United in the end ran out 3-2 winners, Sharp attempted to make a run down the right. With the ball tight against the touchline, he was forced to run around the referee's assistant to attempt to get the cross in. The only problem was, the lino ran with him, cutting out the United striker with a perfectly timed run and block.
To make matters worse, Sharp almost got hit up the face with the assistant's flag as the ball ran out for a goal kick.
