Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhüttl says his side had an answer to every issue posed of them by Sheffield United today as they came away comfortable 3-0 visitors at St Mary's.

Che Adams, Stuart Armstrong and Nathan Redmond fired the Saints to victory, which sent them up to third in the Premier League and left the Blades still searching for a first win of the season.

"We had not one shot from the opponent on our goal so we were definitely in a very good shape," Hasenhüttl said.

"On every issue we had an answer.

"We made really good decisions with and without the ball. When they kicked long, we put it good on the ground and were calm in possession."

The match was also the first of the season played in front of fans, with 2,000 Saints supporters allowed inside St Mary's.

"It's wonderful in front of our fans," Hasenhüttl added.

"I was definitely having a few tears in my eyes.
