Enough is enough: Why The Star is supporting our football clubs' social media boycott

Sheffield United hope to welcome back star duo against Tottenham Hotspur

Sheffield United could be handed a double boost ahead of Sunday’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur with the return of two key men who have been out injured recently.

PH on conversations with the board

We were already having conversations about the current squad and players’ situations, and that will only change when the new man comes in. Whether it’s identifying targets or telling people they aren’t needed. Once you are the man, when the man comes through the door and is tasked with driving it forward, he’ll have as much help as he needs.

PH on Spurs and their own caretaker boss, Ryan Mason

Ryan will be working on different things, I couldn’t tell you the feel of the place or how the players are feeling and as always happens, some will be more disappointed than others. It’s a horrible part of the job and we won’t know how it affects them. All we can do is prepare ourselves. They have a real good group of players who can take the game away from you, and the game at Bramall Lane was similar to that. We were decent but some key moments saw them go away with the points.

PH on the social media boycott

I’m delighted that football has led the way again, which I think we can be proud of. A lot of people experience it and I’m delighted football has led the way and that a lot of other organisations have joined the cause as well, because that’s the only way we can make a difference. It cannot be right that people in normal walks of life would be prosecuted, yet we provide a platform for them to do it without repercussions. I can’t understand it. Hopefully it’s the start of a change.
