The British broadcaster and telecommunications company offered customers the chance to pause subscriptions in March, following the outbreak of COVID-19 and subsequent suspension of football and other sports.

WHEN WILL SKY START CHARGING ME AGAIN?

Sky is now planning to start charging customers again from June 19 as the lockdown in Britain begins to ease and with some sport to resume.

The company say that customers will only start paying again if live sport has resumed by then - the plans have been revealed by Sky staff on its community forum.

WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH THE PREMIER LEAGUE?

The Premier League is currently planning to return next month, with the exact date to be decided this week.

Premier League clubs began a phased return to training for players and staff last week with a rigorous testing system in place to combat the spread of the virus.

And yesterday, clubs unanimously voted to resume contact training with only four more individuals from three sides having tested positive for coronavirus.

A Sky Sports spokesperson said: "We are beginning the process of returning paused sport customers to billing, which requires sufficient time to communicate and implement fully.

"Should the live sport schedule change significantly, then we will absolutely look at alternate plans – no customers will be charged until mid-June at the earliest."
