Hide AdThe Referee: Simon Hooper, who averages 2.6 cautions per game in Premier League competition since September, takes charge of a match involving United for the first time this term. He booked three players, all from Hull City, when West Ham beat Grant McCann’s side in the EFL Cup five months ago. Michael Oliver is the VAR.
The Last Time: A superb strike from Sebastian Haller condemned United to defeat when West ham travelled to South Yorkshire in November. The Frenchman, who has since joined Ajax, netted the only goal of the game early in the second-half. Oli McBurnie and Declan Rice both hit the woodwork.
The History Lesson: United have won 36 of their previous 90 games against West Ham, compared to 31 victories for the hosts. The last of the 23 draws they have played out came in the corresponding fixture last season, when Lys Mousset cancelled-out Robert Snodgrass’ opener just before the break.
