Hundreds of people have been fortunate enough to pull on the sacred Sheffield United shirt over recent years - some good and some, well, not so good. Every Blades fan will have their favourites, for whatever reason, and also their boo-boys who they just don’t take to - whether for their performances or some other reason.
So, to put it to the test, we asked Blades fans to nominate the best and worst player they had seen play for their club and collated some of the most popular responses. Is your favourite (or least favourite) featured, or who should have made the cut? Let us know via our Twitter or Facebook pages...
5. Jay McEveley
@JLHunter90 picked him as his worst player: "Woeful in every which way but many were in that Adkins side. Dark times as a Blade." Photo: Laurence Griffiths
6. Lee Baxter
Kerrie Roebuck plumped for the goalkeeper after his hapless debut at Burnley which saw him let in three goals and get taken off at half-time, never to be seen again. "Those who saw him know there is no explanation needed," said Kerrie
7. Jordan Stewart
@JackWalters92 went for the defender because of "consistent poor performances throughout the entire time he was with us although there’ll be a few who run him close."
8. Tony Currie
The choice of Steve Haythorne, who added the simple comment: "Utter class." Sums it up perfectly in our view Photo: PA
