Striker says Sheffield United will see the very best of him when Premier League football returns next month
Oli McBurnie believes Sheffield United will see the best of him when the Premier League returns to action next month, insisting he now feels mentally and physically equipped to trouble the country’s best defences.
Admitting that his first few months at Bramall Lane proved to be a steep learning curve, as he not only adjusted to life at a new club but also a different tactical approach, the Scotland centre-forward is itching for the chance to put the knowledge he has acquired to good use.
“I had to adapt when I came here,” McBurnie, a summer signing from Swansea City, said. “It’s a different style to there and I’ve had to work on my physicality a lot more too.
“But I feel I’m really seeing the rewards of that work now. I feel a lot more capable and confident. I feel I’ve got a lot more know-how.”
