The Norwegian midfielder’s mum Linnea and his brother Aksel Bolin’s flight to Manchester from Oslo on Sunday was unable to land due to the stormy weather which is battering Britain.
“We had looked forward to this,” said Berge’s mum. “It had been a big event to join. It's the home-team debut.”
TV 2 commentator Peder Mørvedvedt, who was also on the flight and on his way to Bramall Lane to cover the game, revealed the SAS flight from the Norwegian capital tried to land twice before it had to give up and return.
