Burke joined United from Slaven Bilic’s side during the close season, as part of a deal which also saw the Croat’s employers deposit an additional £3m in Bramall Lane’s coffers following Callum Robinson’s move to The Hawthorns.
Despite impressing with his displays against Aston Villa, Leeds and Arsenal, Burke has not featured for United since coming on as a second-half substitute during a 2-1 loss to Liverpool towards the end of last month.

Hide AdBut aware the Scotland international faced plenty of criticism during a three year spell in the Midlands, Wilder is considering handing him an opportunity to silence his detractors this weekend - suspecting Burke would relish the chance to make a statement by firing United to what would be their first victory of the new campaign.
“Oli has done well for us,” Wilder, whose team have lost eight and drawn one of their nine matches so far, said. “He brings something different to the table for us, he carries the ball really well and he’s got a good turn of pace. He’s fitted in really well with the rest of the lads too, which we knew he would after doing our homework on him.”
“We’ve got to keep mixing things up,” Wilder added. “We expect to keep rotating (the forwards) right the way through.”
