Football shirt website Footy Headlines claim that this dark number, with a stylish grey diagonal stripe, will be the Blades’ away kit for the 2021/22 season.

Interestingly the leaked kit is still made by Adidas and features the USG sponsor logo, although Footy Headlines have also rendered a sponsorless version because of ongoing uncertainty concerning USG.

The apparent shirt also has the USG logo on the sleeve, despite the fact that the Championship does not allow sleeve logos as the Premier League do.

Mainly black, the reported shirt has a dark grey sash running across the shirt – not dissimilar in style to United’s popular 1993/94 away shirt.

At this stage, it has not been officially confirmed how United’s shirts will look next season, and there has been some uncertainty whether next season’s kits would continue to be made by sportswear giants Adidas.

United are keeping a close eye on the success of the kits made in-house by Beerschot, their sister club under the United World umbrella.

And there has been ongoing uncertainty about the future of USG, too. The Australian arm of the company entered voluntary administration last year.
