Sheffield United's Lys Mousset reportedly in line for surprise international call-up

The 24 year-old has been capped by France at under 20 (eight caps) and under 21 level (eight caps, five goals) but never managed to earn a senior cap.

Because of that, his international career remains open and performances in the Premier League with the Blades have caught the attention of Senegal.

Senegal assistant coach Regis Bogaert said the country's football federation are monitoring the situation.

“It is clear that today we are following a lot of players, because there are so many little glitches everywhere. We are following Lys Mousset and many other young people to have an extended list,” Bogaert told The Record, cited by WiwSport and Goal.

Their next matches are an African Cup of Nations qualifying double-header with Guinea-Bissau on March 28 and 31.
