Sheffield United's awful shots-per-goal ratio compared to Liverpool, West Ham and Premier League rivals

Sheffield United host Chelsea on Sunday eyeing another massive three points – meaning they can’t afford to be wasteful in front of goal.

The Blades have boosted their survival hopes in recent weeks with wins against Manchester United and West Bromwich Albion.

Ahead of this weekend’s clash at Bramall Lane, we’ve calculated United and their top-flight rivals’ current shots-per-goal ratio.

This comes courtesy of data from Wyscout, which has allowed us to work out how many shots it takes Chris Wilder’s men on average before they find the back of the net.

We divided the number of shots each club has registered in the league by the number of goals they have scored so far this season.

And it’s safe to say – it’s not great viewing for Sheffield United, although there is no denying their fortunes have changed recently:
