United put a difficult week behind them having lost heavily to Newcastle United and Manchester United to beat Durham 4-1 at Bramall Lane, with Andrews bagging a hat-trick.

It was the first win of the campaign for the Blades and the fact it came against a team who also found themselves at the bottom end of the table make it even more significant.

The hope in the camp will now be that they can build on the victory, with Ipswich Town up next at the Lane but Andrews has insisted that although the win will do wonders for morale, no one can get carried away by one result.

“Yeah, we needed [the win],” said Andrews. “We needed redemption after the week we had. It was a hard week, but we came together, we changed a few things, which I think was needed. And yeah, we were more together than ever. And I thought we were very good, like attacking-wise, we were just clinical and we just wanted to keep scoring goals.”

“Momentum and confidence is just so important and I feel like this game really gave us a lot of confidence and now we can go into the week with a better mood and we can still focus,” she added. “We're still going to be humble, obviously. It's only our first three points of the season and we just want to keep going consistently.”

Boss Stephen Healy felt that the win provided vindication for the belief that had been within the Blades camp that the tide could turn, with the squad still finding their feet as a collective.

“People and fans are going to obviously look at the scorelines and some of the disappointing moments that obviously we've had but the staff and the players in the building have always believed in terms of the ability and the capability of this group and this team and it's just making sure that we demonstrate that again week after week now moving forward.”
