Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has revealed why he started Billy Sharp and Oli McBurnie over Lys Mousset and David McGoldrick for tonight's clash with Newcastle United.

Sharp made his first Premier League start alongside McBurnie, as Mousset and McGoldrick dropped to the bench against Steve Bruce’s men.

"It's been a long time coming for Bill, he's been patient,” Wilder said.

“Steve talked about rotation of teams over this period with three games in a week and it's important we finish strong.

“We've made a couple of changes with Oli McBurnie and Billy coming in at the top of the pitch"
