The two sides are separated by just four points in a tightly-packed top-half of the table, and a victory for Chris Wilder's side could see them jump from ninth to seventh ahead of the weekend's action.

Making his midweek predictions for BBC Sport, Mark Lawrenson has opted for a 1-1 draw, and highlighted one Wolves player in particular he could see causing the Blades problems.

He claimed: "This should be a good game because both of these teams have a very similar style. That's not just in terms of formation, but because they both work extremely hard too.

"The big difference is, from midfield going forward, Wolves have got a lot more quality. Their striker Raul Jimenez is such a good player.

"I don't think the Blades will give him much space though, and I just have a feeling that they will dig in and get something out of this game."

The last time the two teams met back early December, Nuno Espirito Santo's men fought back from a goal down, as Matt Doherty's second-half headed goal secured his side a 1-1 draw at Molineux, after Lys Mousett opened the scoring early on with a clinical finish.

Historically, United have a poor record against the West Midlands side, having won just two of their last ten encounters - a record that stretches back to 2005.
