Barnsley v Blades LIVE

In case you missed this earlier...

Greek side Olympiacos made a “poor” offer for Max Lowe earlier this summer, as speculation about the Sheffield United defender’s future continues.

Lowe impressed on loan at Nottingham Forest last season, helping Steve Cooper’s men end their long wait for a Premier League return by winning the Championship play-off final.

Forest have retained an interest in the 25-year-old since as they look to reshape their squad for the top-flight, but have yet to follow up on their bids of £1.5m and £2m in January that were flatly rejected by the Blades.

from a very, very warm Lisbon and welcome to our live blog for coverage of Sheffield United’s first friendly of pre-season, against Casa Pia tonight - it’s 6pm kick-off local time and we’ll bring you every key moment right here in our blog
