Blades v Burnley

We’re back underway

for the second half - no changes for the Blades and just the one for the visitors, Brownhill replaced by Vydra

and the Blades lead 1-0 thanks to David McGoldrick’s superb curling effort - a goal fit to grace any game and the Blades need one more goal in the second half to eclipse Derby’s lowest-ever total. Half-time player ratings:

Ramsdale 7

Baldock 6

Basham 6

Egan 6

Robinson 6

Stevens 6

Norwood 6

Fleck 6

Osborn 7

McGoldrick 8

Jebbison 6

as Basham gets back on his feet, he goes off the pitch for further running repairs but it’ll take a lot to force that man off the pitch

and so nearly a second for United as Basham’s well-struck effort cannons back off the woodwork - it’s probably still shaking as he absolutely smashed it towards the near post and it was nearly a second for the Blades

McGoldrick’s shot is blocked for a corner

after the brilliantly-named Jimmy Dunne attempted a flick that he had no right to attempt and the United man took advantage, but his shot is blocked for a corner

Stevens is punished for

a good-looking tackle on Gudmundsson after a couple of niggly fouls on United players went unpunished by the referee - the crowd aren’t happy and voice their displeasure

What a poignant moment this was

and it’s another for David McGoldrick as he curls brilliantly into the bottom corner from outside the box, the opportunity opened up for him after he fashioned himself a bit of space and he found the corner superbly - not too dissimilar to Lys Mousset’s strike against Man U last year, for comparison. A quality goal from a quality player, if you will... Blades lead!

after a good Blades move breaks down, Baldock catches Brownhill as he pushes the ball past him and the Blades right-back sees yellow once the move came to an end
