Blades v Reds LIVE from Bramall Lane
Gibbs-White goes close
after a nice move sees Norrington-Davies dink a cross into the middle, Gibbs-white heads it goalwards but Collins tips it over for a corner
Blades sub
and a big potential blow for the Blades as Billy Sharp, skipper and talisman and top scorer, makes way after going down with injury - Jebbison comes on to replace him
GOAAAL BLADES
AND it’s Berge who bundles home from Hourihane’s cross after Norwood’s quick free kick - it’s against the run of play really, but United don’t care as the big Norwegian gets on the scoresheet once again! Great ball from Hourihane and Berge couldn’t miss, really
Sharp just can’t
quite get on the end of an excellent cross from Gibbs-White down the right, under pressure from his man - perhaps Sharp didn’t expect the cross to come in but it did and he was on his heels a little
Quina’s shot
is deflected narrowly over United’s bar by Norwood, it’s another corner for the visitors in front of their away supporters ... United scramble it clear
Half-time
and it’s goalless at the break - Barnsley have had the better of the opportunities and look bright on the ball at times, United in contrast look a little leggy and the energetic performance Jack Lester called for before the game has not really transpired. Looked like the performance of a side who have played so many games in recent weeks ...
Chance for Osborn
as he’s played through by Berge, he cuts back onto his left foot and looks to find the top corner but it’s just wide of the Barnsley goal
