Sheffield United could include Florent Cuvelier and Chris Basham in their squad for tonight’s Capital One Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur, writes James Shield.
Cuvelier is expected to be passed fit following injury while Basham is eligible to face Mauricio Pochettino’s side after completing a three match suspension.
Nigel Clough, the United manager, revealed last night that Ryan Flynn could also feature during the first leg tie. The former Falkirk winger, who has recently been deployed at full-back, has been nursing an Achilles complaint.
“Chris is obviously okay and we’re hoping that Flo is going to be okay too,” Clough said. “Because he did very well in the quarter-final win (over Southampton).
“There’s a good chance that Ryan might also be ready. We don’t think it was anything serious.”
